Time for a speed draw! I made ‘What’s behind that door?’ in Procreate with the 6B pencil brush. I wanted to make the characters look like they had jumped out from a colouring book. I suppose in a way it was a page from a colouring book. To get this style right I needed to colour the illustration manually rather than use the paint fill tool. Even though it took a little longer to colour, it was a lot of fun trying something different from my normal digital art style.

Hi everyone! I’m back! As some of you know, I’ve recently released my very first book! I wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for all your support! You are the best! Thank you for sticking around and encouraging me to get this project finished and uploaded.

Keep an eye on this page as I’ll be updating my process and how I made my very first book. It was actually harder than I thought it would be. I have a new respect for people who edit, and publish books as their full time job. I stuggled with the admin work, and metadata but it’s like they say, you won’t learn if you don’t give it a try. I learnt so much from this experience, both the highs and the lows, I’ll treasure forever.

It’s Show Time!

Today is the day! It’s show time people! The time has come to reveal my very first book, ‘What’s Behind That door!’. It’s all about opportunities, making choices and discovering something new. Opportunities hide behind doors, but not all of them open. Some will open in time, and sometimes you’ll just have to find another way in. It’s an adventure. You don’t know what’s on the other side until you give it a try. You might be very surprised! Writing and illustrating this book helped me open a new door. What door will you open next?
